Razors Edge ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2019 It seems the build site decided to add another big crane to the development sometime last week: I wonder if it is because they are falling behind schedule or was planned this way?
2Far ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 14, 2019 Could be either, though I'd lean towards planned that way. Construction sites are dynamic, areas open up after certain things are completed, e.g. utilities, other structures, road access, etc.
Scrapr ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 14, 2019 I'd say planned. Typical GC way to make up schedule time is to cut time from the trades agreed upon schedule days ie; beat them like rented mules 1
Razors Edge ★ Posted August 14, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 14, 2019 Good news is it looks like the foundation (parking garage?) of the first building is poured, or at least the walls are almost up to ground level. We might see some above ground stuff happening soon.
Razors Edge ★ Posted August 26, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted August 26, 2019 Got a couple "crane's-eye-view" shots. Man, it is a lot of rungs to climb to get to the top of one of those things! Exhausting
Scrapr ★ Posted August 26, 2019 Share #6 Posted August 26, 2019 The Intel Fab plant near Portland had over 10 tower cranes on it for over a year. They also brought in some portables. One was supposedly one of the biggest ever. Intel don't F around. I've heard they are difficult to work with. The same contractor keeps winning bids so I guess they are used to the beatings
JerrySTL ★ Posted August 26, 2019 Share #7 Posted August 26, 2019 The first photo looks like a computer motherboard in a way. Especially the dust and dirt after a few years.
