Road Runner Posted September 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2019 I thought it would interesting to have a single thread where you could constantly update your miles for the year. In this way, you can exhibit your obvious superiority over other forumites or you can demonstrate your supreme slothfulness. Fun either way. Actually, for some strange reason, riding a bike does not hurt. When I get off the bike, it hurts and walking any distance hurts, but riding a bike is still fun. Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted January 1, 2020 Share #46 Posted January 1, 2020 1,620 over 79 rides. Lowest in several years. I’ll try more in 2020. New Years ride today was 35 miles. Beautiful sunny day. 39-42 degrees but the wind made it feel like 35. My toes froze.
JerrySTL ★ Posted January 1, 2020 Share #47 Posted January 1, 2020 4106 total miles. 82 walking. Knee problems kept me from doing a half marathon this year. About 3650 miles riding outside with the rest being on a stationary trainer. In many respects I had a bad year. Knee issues kept me from doing much of anything the first 2 months. The Katy Trail Ride was cancelled due to flooding which cost me about 130 fun miles. Then there were the 9 times that I had to drive to Cincinnati for my BIL. Most of them were on great weather weekends.
Razors Edge ★ Posted January 1, 2020 Share #48 Posted January 1, 2020 Strava miles @ 3,740. Commuting miles another ~500 to 700. I think last winter was mostly snow and ice free, so probably closer to 600+ commuting. Anyway, that's about 300 more than 2018, so I'm happy.
