Do Prices Go Up or Down During A Strike?

On one hand, inventory is temporarily limited to what's on hand.  On the other, it may make a sale a higher priority since there are lots of losses when stuff is shut down.

Is it a wash and the consumer won't find any real difference either way?

What are you babbling about?

49,000 GM employees (UAW) went on strike today. The Teamsters union ( truck drivers) will support them and won’t deliver GM cars and trucks to market.

The razor dude is axing the forum if prices on GM products will go up (demand/supply) or go down (demand/supply).

My answer is that they won’t, relatively speaking. Labor issues rarely influence demand. Consumers expect the situation will resolve itself over time. There are no shortage of vehicles on the market. One supplier (GM) will have troubles but that will not save you the crap ton of money you may expect.
