Ralphie ★ Posted October 16, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2019 Currently we have orange cherry tomatoes, cukes, apples, an orange, and an avocado on the table, with chips, taters, and onions in hanging baskets. Also a jar of pickle slices on the table. And on the counter a little jar of peanuts, which might be a bad idea since they are so tempting. I like visible food! Dirtyhip Posted October 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2019 About 60 apples, 2 avocados on the counter. I've been actively drying apples this week. Fruit processing has been a significant chore the last few weeks. Prunes, frozen peaches, apple chips Hidden from view in the pantry: 2 potatoes, 3 sweet potatoes, a garlic bulb and an onion. Fridge: Lettuce, beets, broccoli, green onions, carrots, a lemon and Italian parsley.

They seem to do better in a dark place.

Yep - ours (onion and garlic) are in a dark space in a cabinet, so I can't see them.
maddmaxx ★ Posted October 16, 2019 Share #8 Posted October 16, 2019 Almost everything is visible at the moment. Some is piled over here and some other is in the pile over there.
12string Posted October 16, 2019 Share #9 Posted October 16, 2019 Depends. Is it still considered visible if it's covered in mold?

Longjohn ★ Posted October 17, 2019 Share #12 Posted October 17, 2019 We sometimes have chickens and ducks in the yard, sometimes cows. Today there was a Black Angus calf, I called the one neighbor that has a phone and told him where his calf was.
