MoseySusan Posted October 31, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2019 Poe’s “Cask of Amontillado” is at the top of my list. So calculated.

I read a whole bunch of Poe about 5 decades ago, I think it may be time to revisit the tortured soul from Baltimore
MoseySusan Posted November 1, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted November 1, 2019 “The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge.” And the ending... ”For the love of God, Montresor!” ”Yes,” I said, “for the love of God!” Masterful. Ralphie ★ Posted November 1, 2019 Share #6 Posted November 1, 2019 We used to have a (cassette!) tape of scary stories when the girls were little that were pretty good! We played them in teh car on trips. All I can remember now is the two headed snake.and dead people in the attic, etc. And the very dramatic reading voice. All I can remember of Poe is The Telltale Heart which was pretty good. And of course that damn Baltimore Raven exclaiming nevermore.
