When I realized that level of wealth wasn't likely my fate, I decided I wanted to retire early and have the level of financial security that let me live comfortably and with enough funds to pursue whatever I wanted (within reason) - like those college kids who didn't have to worry if their chosen career was going to pay the mortgage. That happened. I have a cousin that's a lot closer to the 1% than me and has no real interests she wants to pursue except buying jewelry, etc. She's not as happy with her retirement as I am! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
