ChrisL Posted November 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 14, 2019 Caught this one the other day at my daughters house. Allie as in alligator lizard. Seems to get along well with Darryl but Darryl is in hibernation mode and burrows for days at a time so Allie has a run of the place. The behavior is way different than Darryl. He does the tongue thing like a snake and really doesn’t spook easily. And is devouring crickets at a rapid pace. 3 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Probably close to a foot long but 1/2 of the length is tail which you can’t see in the pictures. He/she is pretty close to full grown. Allie looks interesting. Darryl is a digger and burrows under the sand & hibernates for weeks at a time this time of year. So far Allie doesn’t seem to burrow but likes to chill under that piece of wood. When I put Allie in the tank he stepped on Darryl so he popped out of his burrow so I got a shot of the two of them.
