Razors Edge ★ Posted November 27, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2019 Today should be the second day in a row of 60+ degree weather I hope for another afternoon ride. Yesterday, there were more folks out riding than a typical weekend (for this time of year). The weather shifts to cooler and rainy/overcast for Thurs-Sat so you gotta get it as you can. Yesterday a deer was blocking my path, but kindly moved before I got through and none of his buddies were waiting in ambush.
Kzoo Posted November 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2019 Pfffft. Wet and cool (39) with wind just this side of a bomb cyclone. BMBM
ChrisL Posted November 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2019 That bomb cyclone that hit DH yesterday is over us now but much weaker. Cold, windy and light rain over me now but it looks like it could start dumping any moment.
MickinMD ★ Posted November 27, 2019 Share #4 Posted November 27, 2019 We were up around 59F today but rainy, mostly intermittent, light stuff. I'll take the heat bill savings, but otherwise it was so-so.

I've come close to pulling the trigger on the equipment a couple of times because my biking buddies all cross country ski, too. This could be the year.

ChrisL Posted November 28, 2019 Share #13 Posted November 28, 2019 It’s dumping down rain hard in SoCal. Got one of those phone alerts of local flooding. 5 fwy is closed in the mountains north of LA due to snow.
sheep_herder ★ Posted November 28, 2019 Share #14 Posted November 28, 2019 We found snowmobile tracks were wonderful places to cross country ski in non-groomed areas in eastern Oregon.
