Why would anyone want spiral sliced ham?

We just buy the different cuts and carve out what we want with our chef knife.  We have one in the refrigerator now that we are carving from for steaks, sandwiches, etc.  Sometimes we warm it on the stove, sometimes in the microwave, and sometimes eat it cold.  Nice to buy one every once in a while when they are on sale. We've never had a spiral ham, but we've never had to serve more than the two of us.

Spiral slicing makes it easy to serve I would imagine 

 

 

Real on the bone ham is far superior to the boneless ham-like meat was. The spiral cutting does make it easier to serve.
