This could be the breakout year for VR

Truth in advertising moment: I've made several predictions about VR, most of them were wrong.

There is a new episode of Half Life coming out in 2020, and it's going to be VR only. I've been waiting for the killer app, a game that will get people buying VR headsets. It's a chicken and egg problem. Without a customer base, there is no reason for companies to spend millions developing VR games.

And no reason for consumers to buy VR because there is literally nothing out there that is both a good (and new) game, that works flawlessly with VR.

So I figured why waste this chance to be wrong again? :D

Whatever happened with Oculus Rift that Facebook paid a fortune for?

There is an updated version, the Rift S, but they need a new model to compete with the new competition.

There is also the Oculus Quest, a $400 'budget' model that's been getting good reviews.

I can't use it, I don't think it has independently adjustable eyepieces, my eyes are very different now.
