I was afraid to open it. 1

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 3, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 3, 2020 Osha will also require that you clean up all the bloody files and dispose of them as biohazard waste.

Kzoo Posted January 3, 2020 Share #7 Posted January 3, 2020 They don't do that in the northern back woods. They know Zack knows where to bury the bodies so no one will ever find them.

At the forge someone in management had to clean up all the biohazards. One of my relief operators had a balance bar fall out of the press and it somehow got under his metatarsal guard and cut his work boot and foot and broke his foot. He left a blood trail all the way to the locker room. The Forman wore rubber gloves and cleaned up the blood trail and washed everything down with bleach. The Forman had to clean up the locker room when a toilet overflowed. The worker bee got a kick out of watching the supervisor having to do the dirty work. They all were required to stay currant on hepatitis shots and stuff.

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 3, 2020 Share #13 Posted January 3, 2020 At the highschool where womaxx and ysomaxx work, every time the freshmen decide it's fun to finger paint on the restroom walls, it's a major biohazard cleanup of the whole room. 1

Our new locker room had crappy toilets that didn’t flush worth a crap. I’m sure the supervisors pressured the front office of the need for something better. They ran a new larger water main and installed all new toilets. No problems after that.

Amazing what management can get done when they are properly motivated.... 1 1
Kirby ★ Posted January 3, 2020 Share #16 Posted January 3, 2020 Little cuts can sometimes produce a lot of blood. Hope you're ok.
MickinMD ★ Posted January 4, 2020 Share #17 Posted January 4, 2020 Get a pair of these. They work great with kitchen mandolines and graters, even if the people selling them can't spell Kitchen. They're made out a cut resistant cloth and are washable:
Further Posted January 4, 2020 Share #18 Posted January 4, 2020 I cut my hand at work, went to the bathroom washed it out and did a paper towel & electric tape bandage. A safety guy happened to pass through and noticed the blood trail...... busted ! This was at the start of the bio hazard / report everything movement, he bitched at me a bit and told me to go to the nurse. She replaced my bandage and had to go clean up the blood If the same thing were to happen today I would probably be fired.
