I've had about 4 litres of water already today.

I've been going but it isn't the way I want to.

Keep at it with the water.Do NOT add to the back-up :D with anything solid!  I find apple juice, for whatever reason, has a way of helping me get things moving as well.  But, at the least, water is your friend.

I had oat meal for breakfast this morning and lentil soup for dinner last night.  I should be cleaned out by now.

You could give your belly a gentle massage to help loosen things up.  Circling the area below your ribs and above your waist, start on the top left side, lightly press down and go in circles (bottom left over to bottom right up to top right over to top left and starting again).  The gentle pressure can really help. It also works for free up any trapped gas, so WATCH OUT! :D

That's a good idea.  I'll try it when I get home.  The trapped gas thing sounds like a bonus.

I had a constipation problem on-and-off a few years ago and asked my research masternurse sister for help.

"You eat breakfast bowls most mornings, right?  Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil in them, and onto your dinner plate when it works - like with spaghetti and sauce."

I have done so since then an am regular as clockwork.  Note that EVERY American brand of EVOO tested by America's test kitchen was either a fraudulent blend or only the very first squeezings. EVERY European brand, where the government actually tests and has regulations for olive oil, passed.

I LOVE the taste and price of this Costco EVOO made in Tuscany, Italy, which is something like $12.99 for the 1 liter bottle at Costco but listed as $33 or more at Walmart online, eBay, etc.:
