jsharr ★ Posted January 13, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2020 If I eat chicken that I grilled last Sunday and that has been in the fridge for a week? What if I slice it then and microwave it before eating it? My fate is in your hands.
late Posted January 13, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 13, 2020 Your fate is in your nose. Failing that, most germs and such will be on the surface, rinse it off. Did you know you can buy a gadget that will measure how funky your chicken is?

It also depends on how you reheat the meat. Last night, I had one leftover piece of a chicken thigh baked 4 days previously that I shredded into the 2 cups of water called for in Ramen noodle packages, along with a couple ounces of frozen veggies for soup. I nuked them for 3 minutes, added the Ramen noodles and nuked them for 5 more and let it sit for 2 more minutes. I figured that killed the germs, if any. I added 3/4 of the chicken flavor packet (to cut back on salt a little) and it was excellent!

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 13, 2020 Share #18 Posted January 13, 2020 If there's nothing growing on it it's fine. If there's something growing on it there still might not be a problem if the stuff can be considered seasoning. (think blue cheese)
