Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted January 20, 2020 Popular Post Share #2 Posted January 20, 2020 My brother was in there watching her sleep when I got there. We sat and talked and she eventually woke up. I went over to her bedside and gave her a kiss and told her Jerry was here. Then she looked down and saw him and said hi. She said her sister just left. She seems to be doing ok. I need to work on getting her to sit up and eventually stand up when I get her home. The professionals didn’t accomplish much the week they had her. i just got home after being gone since before 10AM, the house was still 73°. I loaded up the furnace, it should start getting warm soon. 6
Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted January 22, 2020 Popular Post Share #3 Posted January 22, 2020 They brought my wife home today. I got here about an hour before she did so I could make up the bed. I bought new sheets and pillows and pillow cases. She seems to be doing ok, still very weak. I made creamed chicken and biscuits with smashed potatoes and steamed some green peas. I always give her vegetables and she eats them. When she ordered her own food in the hospital she never ordered a vegetable. Of course i’ve Seen what they do to vegetables so I don’t blame her. 9

There appears to be a serious lack of doctors saying anything. 11 minutes ago, AirwickWithCheese said: Yes, and are the biscuits homemade? I got home from the hospital about a half hour before the ambulance. I quickly made up the hospital bed with the new sheets, pads, and pillows and got the chicken cooking on the stove. The ambulance arrived and as they were carrying my wife up the stairs the hospice nurse arrived. I talked with the hospice nurse for over an hour. I cheated on the biscuits and used the big ones that come in a tube. I did peel and cook real potatoes and smash them. My feral cats must have smelled the chicken because they kept bumping the door to let me know they were there. I always give them the skin. 5

Popular Post Scrapr ★ Posted January 22, 2020 Popular Post Share #17 Posted January 22, 2020 I'm so sorry John. Really really sorry. My only advice is leave nothing unspoken. At least Esther is home. Lean on the hospice. The hospice pastor was helpful to us. You probably have your own pastor to help I'm crying here for you & your family 3

I’m fine with that. I won’t even mind giving up the kit with all the cool drugs. 4
