Zephyr Posted January 21, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2020 That is quite mesmerizing. She must have a couple plates of lead tucked to keep her on the bottom

It is obviously not CGI, but as there are camera cuts, I highly doubt it was all on one breath hold. We teach breath hold techniques and have had people with 1/2 hour of training do a 5 minute breath hold.

There are enough transitions from scene to scene in the movie and all are less than 1 minute. Most likely there's an air hose/mask in addition to the cameraman out of sight that she's been trained to use to breathe and uses it between scenes. There's also a source on the bottom of bubbles rising slowly under her, though their slow rise may mean they're a heavier gas like CO2.

maddmaxx ★ Posted January 22, 2020 Share #13 Posted January 22, 2020 Yikes, "filling parts of her sinus cavities with water to have a relaxed face". Clearly this has taken a bit of practice and falls into the do not try this at home category.

Not in the bathtub. But maybe the shower. 1
