An old lady living across the street from my family in the 60's, who we all called "Grandma" told my mother that her (Grandma's) son was dating"that Jane." I asked my mother who Jane was and my mother replied it wasn't the woman's name, it meant a woman of bad reputation. Also, the slang for marijuana, "Mary Jane," is from the 1920's. As far as 2020 slang goes, I retired from teaching in 2006 and bet I'd be lost now. It was funny when I would say "record player" to kids from the 90's on and almost all had no clue what I was talking about.
