So I just finished taking the Jeopardy test

Recommended Posts

I'm a guessing I did maybe 80%.  Drew aboot 3 total blanks and took maybe 7 wild ass guesses.  50 questions at 15 seconds each, so aboot 12 minutes.  Not too painful. Maybe less than 80%.  Shakespeare is pure luck of the draw. :D

That was a good Final Jeopardy tonight!  I guessed it right.

I knew the answer.  I don’t get many right but I got that one.

I have long thought that Jeopardy is way too focused on categories regarding musty old literature and plays.

If they asked questions about 1960's cars or 1970's stereo equipment, I would kill!!!

When you draw a blank, do you just draw it like a regular bullet, but maybe leave out the <B-A-N-G> ????  That's how I would draw a blank.

Wild ass guesses can work wonders. :)

They can also kick your ass when playing real Jeopardy.  :nodhead:

The GOAT was guessing his ass off on his way to the win. He is excellent at that skill!

I know a lot of useless trivia, but my brian works way too slow these days.  If you gave me all the answers to study the night before, I might be able to just barely compete.  In certain male-centric categories only, of course.  :D

Why do you hate Shakespeare, poetry, and operas?  :D

But siriusly, do it!  As a jeopardite, you owe it to yourself.  And it was actually fun.  And even better, not as hard as I was expecting, ie I knew a majority of the answers, at least AFAIK. :)

(I only remembered one to check later.  I gave an eyetalian composer as the Arthur of a French play.  Thankfully they say there is no penalty for dumb answers. :D )

Edit- no wait, he WAS an opera composer  The only one I know, of course  :D

They all suck in comparison to a really good episode of Seinfeld.  :nodhead:

Did Seinfeld ever do an opera, poetry, or Shakespeare show?

Of course you are biased since you are Larry David. :D

Not that I know of, but Jeopardy would be a better judge of intellect if they would include Seinfeld and Curb categories on a regular basis.  :)

There are never any 'Brady Bunch' or 'Leave it to Beaver' questions.  I'd clean up if they focused on real, usable knowledge instead of Shakespeare, poetry and opera.
