Dog Bleach!

You really aren’t that wrong. Dying is not allowed in the show world, but there are a durn lot of color enhancers and brighteners.  Starting at like $15 a bottle.  The old time handlers used laundry bluing. 
 

in Airedales we use texturizing chalk on the leg furnishings. It happens to come in like 30 different shades including a variety of reds and browns.  Dying the black black is definitely cheating. Usually judges just ignore the dog versus disqualifying them. Hard to really prove it is a dye job.

I am always wrong.  Just so we are on the same page.

I honestly believe the shelter died Jack’s hair as days after we got him gray hairs started appearing on his back & neck... They didn’t advertise him as a puppy and the vet confirmed his approximate age but I’m guessing the gray hair wouldn’t help his adoption chances...
