The Israeli guide, Mende, on our tour of the Holy Land patronized a few Palestinian restaurants and at the one in Bethlehem, the restaurant owner had a hookah, a water pipe, all set up for him with tobacco in appreciation of bringing in 17 tourists.  I asked Mende how smooth the smoke was - I had just quit smoking 4 years before - and he invited me to try it.  VERY smooth.  That was the first and last water pipe I ever used.

Yeah, me neither. I can't imagine anyone ever drinking pot bong water, but had no idea what meth bong water smells like.

I've know some people who've tried it.  They all said it tasted terrible and did do anything for them buzz wise.  The smell was enough to turn me off.
