dinneR ★ Posted February 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2020 Two more crashes. In the case of texting and DUI, probably for the best that the roundabout took the hit and not a head-on with a car or a cyclist.

Guest Posted February 6, 2020 Share #7 Posted February 6, 2020 I didn’t think the roundabout was hard to see plus there are signs. The live traffic furniture is probably a bigger problem.

I wonder how much this guy had to pay. https://buckrail.com/snowmobiles-couldnt-save-him-trucker-rescued-on-beartooth-highway-hauling-sleds/

Maybe your roads department needs to make it hard to hit instead of hard to miss??? It is better than the alternative. That intersection was bad before. In the winter you could not see the lanes and if you were in the turn lane, you were a sitting duck. Crossing on a bike was scary as shit.

maddmaxx ★ Posted February 7, 2020 Share #15 Posted February 7, 2020 "The end is near"! Alien probe 1000 ft! Low flying truck area! I'm sure there are a number of signs they could put there that wouldn't make any difference.
groupw Posted February 7, 2020 Share #16 Posted February 7, 2020 We had a fatality at the one near us less than a month after it opened. Kid on a crotch rocket and serious excess speed. Luckily it was the wee hours and he was the only vehicle there. The mourning family has placed a flower memorial there and is on a campaign to eliminate roundabouts. I’m sorry they lost a loved one, but that monument to his stupidity makes me want to piss on it then set it on fire.
jsharr ★ Posted February 7, 2020 Share #17 Posted February 7, 2020 Maybe they should install some sort of large art piece in the middle of the round about.
