Today's First World Gripe - ignoring Fitts' Law

My Mozilla browser on Ubuntu has a scroll bar that is so narrow it can be hard to grab.  It also sort of autohides, or at least "autograys", so that too seems unnecessary and annoying, because you have to guess where the hell it is.  It' snot that bad, I can just use the arrow and home keys instead (except when composing a post, then it moves within the edit window), but it is still annoying, mainly because there seems to be no good reason for it.  It seems to me that the original Windows or should I say WIMP model was very good but there has been a gradual decaying of it, and as a bona fide olde grouche, I say "stop it!".  :D

Wilbur blah blah blah WIlbur, blah, blah, blah. :D

Man, I was counting on you for the Fitts' Law thing!  Have you ever landed at Fitts' Field? Hmm, I thought there was one, maybe not.

Fitts was an outside the box thinker!   They just hadn't invented the phrase yet. :)
