Popular Post Further Posted February 14, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 14, 2020 The standard stress test was borderline positive, which is kinda negative... Anyway tomorrows test is supposed to remove all doubt. When I was running in the woods, in the back of my mind was a nagging thought about having a heart attack while running out in the woods rather than down on the well populated walking path... I know ya'll will be pullin for me and I appreciate it with all my heart 1 2

Tizeye Posted February 14, 2020 Share #7 Posted February 14, 2020 And on the plus side, you won't have to wear your running shoes for the exam. You can if you want to, but they won't be necessary. I can't remember the last time I had a treadmill stress test as every year they send me for an echocardiogram. Haven't had the nuclear dye version. Just lie there and listen to the ka-twshhh, ka-twshhh and if in position glance over at the monitor. When over they hand you a tissue or towel to clean off all that crap they spread on you for the better electrical contact/transmission. 1

late Posted February 15, 2020 Share #9 Posted February 15, 2020 I have a murmur and they gave me a stress test. No biggie. When they were happy, I told them to go harder. Yeah, I was showing off.

Popular Post Further Posted February 15, 2020 Author Popular Post Share #13 Posted February 15, 2020 It was the nuclear one and I did have to run. There was confusion over whether I would walk or have a chemical stimulus, I didn't want the chemical, and assured the nurse I could the tread mill. They were looking for 132 bpm, no problem I thought. One of my blood pressure drugs depresses my heart rate, and apparently it does a good job. The nurse told me it should take 7 1/2 minutes to get my heart up to speed, I assured her I was good for 7 1/2 minutes. Six or so minutes in, very brisk walk at pretty steep incline I was up to 108 bpm, she asked about the chemicals, I told her I really didn't want them and could keep going. Coming up on 10 minutes, treadmill humming, incline pointed at the sky, I was hanging on the hand rail running for all I was worth, nurse at my side cheering me on, the fuckin counter finally ticked 132 Got the results already..........no issues Thank You everyone for the good vibes. 1 3
