Popular Post Airehead Posted February 16, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 16, 2020 Yesterday was rough but today is better. Heart rate was 30 after surgery. They put him in an external pace maker— more on that later. Breathing tube now out. They punctured his lung while operating which we knew there was a chance of due to the scar tissue. He has two drains and they hurt a lot. Heart rate still not good when unassisted. They did the mazing but as of yet it has not fixed the afib just moved it to a flutter. Heart valve was repaired not replaced and looks good. something happened around 2 am and the external pace maker failed and started shocking his abdomen. Was a big to do for awhile. They called me at 2:15. 1

He just had to wear it when walking in the hall.

Airehead Posted February 20, 2020 Author Share #14 Posted February 20, 2020 And @Parr8hed,when the doctor heard about it he mixed it quickly. He needed to walk with all his hook up and oxygen, cardiac monitor, something to revive him, suction, etc... there was quite a scolding to some nurses. I guess the doctor thought his orders were clear.
