How is your soap making coming? I’m still using the first bar of Goat soap that I got for Christmas. That stuff lasts forever. I sometimes use body wash when I want to smell pretty, the goat soap doesn’t have much smell.

It's coming along well.  Stoked that I found all my soap making pots and infrastructure for less than $20 (including chemical goggles)

Learning a ton.  There are different types of lye too.  So much to explore and try.

Yeah, there's a some kinda "smells like a goat" joke in there. Then there's the whole smell vs. stink argument as well.

My couch and chair are the first purchase of furniture for me...old set I had for like 16 or 17 years..and it was second hand..my dining room set I inherited and my bedroom set is what my mom bought for me in 1977. Kinda fun to pick out new stuff.

My bedroom furniture is really old.  I have had it since I was 18.  Solid wood furniture really lasts.  There are a few stains in the wood surface.

I am wondering how John can make a bar of soap last that long.  Is he showering daily?  LOL

I actually use three different soaps Zest, Old Spice body wash and the Beekman goat milk soap. The Beekman bar is huge to start with and doesn’t get soft. Which soap I use depends on my mood.

9 oz bar.  Twice the size on the ones I tend to make.  Triple milled. That is what makes that such a firm soap.  Hand milling creates a harder bar.

I remember those guys on the Amazing Race.  Good to see their business is doing well.

So you're telling us you're moody?

Enjoy your new purchase DH!  May you have many happy naps on that couch.

I have never done this on a couch.  Ever.  I am not normally someone who naps.  I'm more likely to just go to bed at 7.  :D

When I really feel that I need a nap, I have always just gone to my bed.

Why do you hate 'merica?

And if you question the mechanical aspects of the recliners, there are people that can fix those things.

You gotta nap a little bit in a recliner.

I napped a bit at red light today driving home from work. Scared me a bit.

The thing is, I just don't nap.  It isn't something that I can do very easily. I sleep really well at night.  Takes me a few seconds to fall asleep and I sleep for about 7-8 hours
