I just viewed a YouTube clip of a former best friend from my teen years and early 20's. Haven't seen her in past 35 yrs. In video just last year, she is delivering a university lecture for a religious studies course. Still has the same cheerful, inquiring visage and thoughtful as I remembered. This is after having 3 children, who are adult by now. Time in her face, does not show cynicism, jadedness, tiredness or grief. I'm sure she's experienced latter just like myself, given our ages.
