Kzoo Posted July 12, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted July 12, 2014 Tomorrow morning I will do an annual ride around the county. I planned this out 3 years ago and enjoy the ride once a year. I call it my Around Kalamazoo ride. I hit every town and village around the parameter of the county - 74 miles. In the evening we'll visit the father in law. Sunday is church and then a short ride if the rain cooperates. No projects planned. No honey does.

So you should spend some quality time with your imaginary friends here to recoup and get cheered up. Edit: I had to think of a better descriptor than "imaginary", since we are real. Ethereal, in fact. Yeah, that's it! We are your ethereal friends. Get it? Over the ethernet? I kill me! Previously I had used virtual, but besides simulated or reproduced, it also means almost, which is not good.
Ralphie ★ Posted July 12, 2014 Share #15 Posted July 12, 2014 Tomorrow morning I will do an annual ride around the county. Nice! I need to do something like that. I do have a few rides that I just do once a year or so, and as usual I am behind on them. One is a somewhat unusual ride for me because I just take one road aboot as far as I can go down into some beautiful quiet and bucolic farm country then just double back. It is an interesting take on perspective to experience a road in both directions in rapid succession.

TrentonMakes Posted July 12, 2014 Share #22 Posted July 12, 2014 Really hoping to get my road bike buttoned up today so I can take it out tomorrow morning. I'm on the computer to look up a video on wrapping bars. I can never remember which way you're supposed to do it. But my daughter and I will go out for a few miles whenever she's done with whatever it is she's doing.

LoneWolf Posted July 12, 2014 Share #24 Posted July 12, 2014 I ran four miles on the treadmill today. Didn't feel up to my normal speeds, so cut it back a little. And then realized I had zero blood sugar --had a stomach bug Thursday and really hadn't eaten a lot in the past 24 hours since then. Didn't actually feel woozy until I walked the ten feet from the gym to the car out front. Had a protein shake and thinking I have an excuse for good carbs tonight. Longjohn ★ Posted July 13, 2014 Share #31 Posted July 13, 2014 I ran a color run trail 5 K yesterday. All hills and some mud. It's the first trail race I have ever done and I did really well. My legs are feeling it running all those hills. Running is evil, I want to do it again.
