Some people have to change riding position to accommodate shoulder surgery.  I have know a few that had to give up drop bars.

Zealot usually rides no hands or at most one hand, the other one on his sweetheart. The bars don’t make much difference.

I just finished my shoulder PT, although the focus shifted to my neck. The PT guy and I agreed that my trouble probably started with my neck, and he started working on my neck. I can turn my head further now than I have in a couple years.

Best PT experience I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. This listened to me and adjusted the plan to fit what I was telling him.
