Normally goats are sheared twice a year. We normally shear only once. Sheep are sheared in the autumn, to prepare them for lambing in January and February. There were a lot of Lincolns at the Indiana State Fair and at Michigan Fiber Festival. At state fair Lincolns and Shetland had the biggest classes of all the fiber breeds. They ran 2 show rings all day. One Lincoln and one Shetland. Several families were very busy since they were showing both.
