Road Runner Posted July 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted July 23, 2014 Enjoyed it. LeMond and Hinault are both a liitle crazy, I think. I guess in LeMond's case, the old adage applies: "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you."
Former member Posted July 23, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted July 23, 2014 I met Greg a couple times in Moab, and beat him in a race once. Sure, we were in go-karts, but a race is a race.

Former member Posted July 23, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted July 23, 2014 Hey, just for the record.. Greg was right, Lance was doped to the gillsDid you ever think he was clean? I though his chemists found a new way to mask what he was doing, but knew there was no freaking way he was clean. When the best cyclists in the world are all doping, there's no way you are beating them, and racing clean.
Solution Nate Posted July 23, 2014 Solution Share #17 Posted July 23, 2014 What I think is that hating on Greg LeMond, one of the best American cyclists in history, because he accused Lance of doping is stupid.

Nate Posted July 23, 2014 Share #19 Posted July 23, 2014 thanks, Bosox. We don't agree on a lot of things, but we're both products of the counter culture in the 80s. Bike racing was definitely a counter culture thing back then Its good that they ran that show on ESPN. These Tours in the 80 had real drama to them. and when Greg became the first American winner (now the only American winner) he beat one of the true greats in Hinault now its like the American public only knows Greg as "some whiner who accuses everybody better than him of doping"
