Dirtyhip Posted March 22, 2020 Share #4 Posted March 22, 2020 What is your dough recipe? Maybe I can help. Did you let your yeast foam, before you started adding other stuff? You can make a stone with some tiles. Very cheap way to craft a stone.

Problem is I just tossed in too much water..I make 1/2 a recipe..usually 1 cup and a little less than 1/4 cup..A tsp of yeast with a little flour and sugar or honey and water..yup 15 to 20 minutes a bubbly..add the rest of the flour and salt I had a stone (free bench at work) but it cracked..this works well I cook the dough about 5 minutes then top it and cook another 15..nice and crispy. Dirtyhip Posted March 23, 2020 Share #7 Posted March 23, 2020 I used ti blind bake, but I stopped. I spread it thin, and top it all, and bake on stone. My trick is starting the pizza on parchment and then open the oven quick and yank the parchment out. If it is a really thick pizza, you do have to blind bake it just a little. It cooks really hot on the stone.

Dirtyhip Posted March 23, 2020 Share #10 Posted March 23, 2020 I do baked potato chips sometimes on mine. Glad the cookie pan is working for you. Not sure how you keep it that clean. I have the same style and it looks very stained.
