Bandanas do not really provide protection.  

Had a talk with my husband about this mask thing.  I asked about this inventory shortage.  He said that you can't really stock up on that, because they have a shelf life.  The elastic or rubber degrades.  This whole thing just blindsided the world.  Our medical workers are working like staff in a 3rd world disaster zone.

I don't even have the energy to say my usual word.  

They didn't actually lower the standards, they basically said if you've got nothing else....

There's a big feel good push for people to rip up old tshirts and make masks to bring to the hospital.  The experts are saying please DON'T, especially cotton.  It It ABSORBS moisture, meaning it just sucks in all that coronavapor.... but the leaders of the movements are saying the experts are stupid, let's all put virus sponges on our mouths
