Forum Administrator Posted March 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2020 Just like you don't agree when your wife says she looks fat, you should not say this... no matter how true it might me. I never understood the fascination with Rush.

People here get all bent out of shape when you say that. On a side note, I feel the same way about the Tragically Hip and Gord Downie being vastly overrated

I don't hate Rush, they are objectively good musicians. I wish their songs were better.
maddmaxx ★ Posted March 24, 2020 Share #7 Posted March 24, 2020 A lot of Rush's stuff is really good music. Technically they remind me a bit of Emerson Lake and Palmer. It's not headbanger rock if that's what you want though.

I’m sure I’ve heard them but I can’t think of any song by them.

Square Wheels Posted March 24, 2020 Share #11 Posted March 24, 2020 Individually they were / are musicians at the top of their game. They had a song writer that was truly ahead of his time and too smart for most of us to understand. Together, they were Rush. I don't do favorites, ever, but they are one of the bands I really admire.

I thought everything else was lame. But Up To Here, Road Apples, and Fully Completely were pretty bad arse IMHO.
