It is currently (again) the FREE ebook download at Tor for April. Scalzi is an easy read. The first chapter is a fun start to the book, and got me hooked. Anyway, long story short - there is a Flow that runs through the universe that connects multiple planets which otherwise could not be reached as they are MANY light years apart. A trip through the Flow, while taking time (months), allows all the planets to coexist with the humans diaspora from Earth, but trouble is brewing - with the empire and the Flow.
