Popular Post Tizeye Posted April 2, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted April 2, 2020 Following up on the thread a couple days ago, they arrived today. Took a chance on size as sizing chart was significant different from Sidi. 10.5 is 45 in Sidi (and Schimano) where it split between 43.5 and 44 in Fizak. Got the 44 as the 43.5 was out of stock and the fit great. 6 1

And they are NOT white, which unsurprisingly are the ones marked down on sale as nobody apparently wants white! That retro look was probably what made them jump out at me when saw them at the LBS as the stood out vs others on the shelf. First ride will be tomorrow. They fit well so don't have to return and putting the cleats on tonight.

Tizeye Posted April 3, 2020 Author Share #8 Posted April 3, 2020 Did 22 miles today on first ride. After first mile had to return and micro adjust the cleat angle as didn't have the placement guides like the Sidi's. Had too sharp and heel was tapping against the chainstay. Once set, were great. Very solid platform and comfortable. This is the R5 model which by design has the least rigid sole, leaning more to the long ride comfort than hammer response like the full carbon sole R1 or R3. Good ventilation with air holes throughout the upper faux leather. Have to get use to this BOA tightener. At first though I broke it before ever taking them out. Would turn the knob and never would tighten, remaining in the full slack - then discovered the push/pull function for activating the BOA knob. When tight holds well. Uncertain of removal process - full pull of knob to loosen or back off the tension with the knob and then pull. Guess that will take time. Looked at the combined Thank you for purchase/corporate info warranty/care instruction and while nothing on the BOA, wasn't aware that Fizik (phonetic pronunciation of "physic") and surprised to learn the were part of the Selle Royal Group, but sadly. the interior tag in the shoe noted made in Cambodia - not Italy.
