This is from the local media.  In our organization we have 13,300+ employees.

About 5,800 are working from home.  Others ...can't because of the nature of their jobs which requires operating our equipment on site. Then there is the complicated situation where some jobs you have to buddy up with another person.  situations for occupational health and safety reasons, etc.

No, you can't tell everyone to work from home: these are people who work in our water treatment plants, waste and recycling pickup, 911, fire dept., etc.  Some of them ride in trucks together. Most of our 311 staff have been working remotely from home over the past few years...so some depts. are ahead.

Thank god, we did a massive upgrade enterprise wide software upgrade last year.

1/10 of 1% is understandable even with proper precautions taken.

We have a nursing home in Maryland where four more people died yesterday. bringing the total to 14, from coronavirus.  2/3 of the dozens of patients and 31 staff members have tested positive.  THAT place is going to be out of business when the inevitable lawsuits are completed: there's no excuse for that high a count in a semi-rural location.

FIFY.

It ain't 13 in the org that have it.

They would have been tested, Razor.  Our HR dept. asks for written documentation if one has xx consecutive days of sick leave. Our province is testing..there is a pecking order in terms of priorities who gets to be tested, based on symptoms and whether or not they are lst responders, health care workers.
