jsharr ★ Posted April 13, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2020 to listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be? I am pretty sure mine would R.E.M, but Jimmy Buffet would be a close second.

team scooter Posted April 13, 2020 Share #7 Posted April 13, 2020 Can I pick a decade instead, preferably the early '70s? Even as a lil snotty nosed city kid, I knew it couldn't get much better then this.

Many different songs, genres, sounds, albums, through decades. One artist? That's a tough one. I think Jimmy or maybe George Straight? Great question.
ChrisL Posted April 13, 2020 Share #11 Posted April 13, 2020 It would have to be a band with an extensive play list even if it’s not a favorite. Two that come to mind are the stones, U2 but I’m sure I’m missing a couple hundred...
Indy Posted April 13, 2020 Share #12 Posted April 13, 2020 Couldn't do it, my taste is way to varied and I would be better off doing with none if I had to be limited to one.
az_cyclist Posted April 13, 2020 Share #13 Posted April 13, 2020 Buffett is good. I would hate to have to choose between Willie Nelson and George Strait. Choosing Buffett also means I would not have Led Zeppelin, CSNY, or the Moody Blues, or the Beatles....
MickinMD ★ Posted April 13, 2020 Share #14 Posted April 13, 2020 If I had to pick one: Linda Ronstadt. The most mp3's I have for one artist in each category: Modern Group: The Eagles Old Standards Group: Glenn Miller and his Orchestra Individual Artist: Linda Ronstadt Classical Composer: Wolfgang Mozart - I also listen to a lot of Chopin, Bach, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, in that order. Prophet Zacharia Posted April 14, 2020 Share #19 Posted April 14, 2020 The Rolling Stones. I’m a huge Floyd fan, too, but if I had one band to listen to, I would be the Stones. If I had but one album to listen to, it would be Exiles.

Reverend_Maynard Posted April 14, 2020 Share #22 Posted April 14, 2020 Going by the rules, I would have to say Tool. Their library is somewhat limited (6 or so albums), but it is just that awesome! If I could stretch the rules a bit, I would choose Maynard James Keenan in all his forms... Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and a couple other appearances with other bands. Add in live stuff on youtube, and that would enough for me. I think.
2Far ★ Posted April 14, 2020 Share #23 Posted April 14, 2020 Ooof, first reaction would be Supertramp (11). Then, maybe, the Beatles (22) or the Stones (26) b/c of the sheer volume of music. U2 has 16 studio albums & would be a maybe. How about K-Tel, is that a group???
Longjohn ★ Posted April 14, 2020 Share #24 Posted April 14, 2020 Lots of good music out there but if I had to pick just one it would be my son Ben. I really like his music and when he does a cover it is of something I like (even if I didn’t know I liked it until I heard him do it). He is an amazing song writer and musician. Ltdskilz Posted April 14, 2020 Share #29 Posted April 14, 2020 Once I made a choice, my mood would probably change and then I'd be scrooged.
