12string Posted April 14, 2020 Share #3 Posted April 14, 2020 I really want to make a point of spending it locally if possible. Might as well use it for it's intention close to home. Of course, after a couple weeks of holding it to see if I get laid off. Getting strange vibes from management.

Wilbur ★ Posted April 14, 2020 Share #11 Posted April 14, 2020 As a gesture of hope and understanding, everyone should donate the funds to Canadians in order for us to secure masks from outside the US. Just forward the funds to me and I will make sure Justin gets it. It is the humanitarian thing to do.

Longjohn ★ Posted April 14, 2020 Share #18 Posted April 14, 2020 I may use mine to help someone. I need to know the situation. I already called several self employed friends to see how they are doing. They seem to be doing ok, still have some other income that I didn’t know about. You may or may not know that they have a drone command stationed there now. I know officers and your address is not highly classified. You will never hear it... and you spelled neighborly wrong again.
sheep_herder ★ Posted April 15, 2020 Share #20 Posted April 15, 2020 I asked my wife what charity she was going to donate to, and she suggested we use it to add to other funds for a new camera lens. We'll see.

We've had many years of no raises. The past 10 or so have been 2% raises (if we got one at all). We don't get bonuses. In MA, we aren't even allowed to get a free lunch at a conference. No bonuses. No profit sharing. But today, I am happy I still have my job. It breaks my heart how many people will be out of work, or dead.
