Randomguy Posted July 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2014 I mean do you REALLY like raisins, like they are a sizzling ribeye steak or a pizza that just popped out of the oven? I ask this because I don't know if I could really understand that fully.

Randomguy Posted July 23, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted July 23, 2014 I like the NY steak cut. I hate raisins. I am trying to figure out raisin's angle. I thought the only benefit they have over grapes is that they are highly portable and don't perish easily.

Square Wheels Posted July 24, 2014 Share #6 Posted July 24, 2014 Raisins are awesome. I eat them every day in my oatmeal.
SuzieQ Posted July 24, 2014 Share #7 Posted July 24, 2014 I only like them if they are mixed into something, I would not eat them on their own. I would never eat a steak, so I guess I prefer raisins to steak

Randomguy Posted July 24, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted July 24, 2014 when you get older, you lose muscle mass easily raising and spinach are 2 things that slow that process down according to Coach Freil Uh, ok, but wth wouldn't you just eat grapes if you had the choice? There is no situation that I would rather have raisins, with the only exception being the convenience/dehydrated thing. I think raisins taste like ass, dried ass. I will eat that dried-ass raisin if I have to.
Nate Posted July 24, 2014 Share #10 Posted July 24, 2014 I dunno, I guess we need to ask Joe Freil maybe drying the grapes changes the enzymes?
Chopped Liver Posted July 24, 2014 Share #11 Posted July 24, 2014 raisins have 3 uses. 1) Oatmeal raisin cookies 2) chocolate covered raisins 3) Cinnamon raisin bread.....other wise, they are wasted wine.
Randomguy Posted July 24, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted July 24, 2014 I dunno, I guess we need to ask Joe Freil maybe drying the grapes changes the enzymes? I am not buying it, raisins just concentrate the sugar and turn it into grape jerkey.

RAISINS SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN COOKING! I suppose that oatmeal would be amenable to consorting with raisins every now and again, but oatmeal raisin cookies would be far better without the raisins. Randomguy Posted July 24, 2014 Author Share #18 Posted July 24, 2014 the pollution has killed your brain cells. I have always hated raisins in food. I also think potatoes should never be served cold. Dried cherries should be used in place of raisins, they are better in every way.

And there may be some ideas to the dried cherry thing. Sometimes you actually have a good point or two!
