Posted July 2, 20241 yr A new gel free replacement screen for the infotainment center in the 300. Chrysler used some sort of gel filled touch screen in 2017 and they had massive delamination issues, which made the touch screen super wonky, made it hard to use and would have ghost touches and just start freaking out. I tried an online video that showed how to remove the gel and it worked mostly, but the screen lost touch sensitivity on a narrow vertical strip and I have lived with it for quite a while. New radio is $1000 or so. Replacement screens are $160, but gel filled still. Found a company that makes non gel filled screens for quite a bit more, but still 1/3 the price of a new infotainment center, so I ordered one of them to deliver Saturday.
