Same battle at my house. If we want to go grab something quick I always fall back on pizza. She always wants some kinda fru-fru pasta/chicken/garlic bullshit.
I am being 100% serious when I say that I could eat pizza 3-4 nights a week. Maybe more if it were from different places/styles.
It does make me feel like a sack-of-ass if I eat too much big, thick, doughy pizza (though I love it) but if I stick with a thinner crust I could eat more often.
I would have it for lunch and then turn around have have it for dinner again without question.

I will add to this that when you do have a clean dishwasher there are fewer dishes to unload if you don't fill it all of the way. It's far easier to unload and takes less time.
