It shows a bit of commemorative landscaping on the new cycle path section which is on what was once a tram line. The Dublin to Howth tram closed in 1941 and the Hill of Howth tram which was a continuation that brought passengers up the hill closed in May 1959. As a child I remember travelling on this tram which was the last one to operate till modern trams were reintroduced in Dublin on other routes.
