Prior to last month I hadn't ever seen a second of this show. Oddly, one of my son's teachers - at his Catholic high school - spoke highly of it, and he was interested. Each episode has at least one scene that makes my wife cover her eyes. (I missed the first few - they started watching when I was on the road) The episode where they'd been kidnapped by Tuco was start to finish, edge of your seat suspenseful. Almost exhausting. I believe we're nearing the end of the second season - Walter's daughter was just born. And at the end of the last episode Jesse's girlfriend apparently OD'd, with Walter doing nothing to intervene. It felt like a punch in the gut. Still, I thought the setup was incredibly clever, in that the episode previously featured two instances of trying to keep someone on their side so if they threw up they wouldn't choke. Three more seasons to go - I hope I can endure it. (and surely we'll move on to Better Call Saul next)
