MickinMD ★ Posted July 12, 2022 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2022 With the exceptions of early Christians, there are a lot more books written about Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Hitler, etc. than about Gandhi, Thomas Aquinas, and Saint Francis of Assisi who crossed the battle lines in Egypt and got the Muslims to save the Crusaders from starvation! I admit I've read more books like these I'd highly recommend: The Conquests of Alexander by ancient Roman General Arrian, The Gallic Campaign by Julius Caesar, The Campaigns of Napoleon by Chandler, The Spearheaders, a Personal History of Darby's Rangers by Altieri, the 6 volume History of the Second World War by Churchill, and the 3 volume The Civil War, a Narrative by Shelby Foote than I've read books about those who hunger and thirst for justice's sake.
