Randomguy Posted October 13, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted October 13, 2013 Ok, this is the recipe that I will use: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will need: an egg (doesn’t have to be room temp) 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp Dijon mustard 1 cup “light tasting” olive oil (or blend with oils like sesame, macadamia, etc…) Salt and Pepper to taste An immersion mixer A wide mouth jar (I used a Ball pint jar) 1. Put the egg, lemon juice and Dijon mustard in the jar. 2. Pour in cup of oil and let sit for a few seconds until oil sits on top of eggs/lemon juice/mustard. 3. Insert immersion blender and push all the way to the bottom of the jar. Blend for 20 seconds without moving. 4. Pull immersion blender up SLOWLY for a few more seconds. 5. Done. Season as you wish. Perfect mayo!

Nate Posted October 14, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 14, 2013 ok, here's how peasants make an eggs mayonaise... you get a bowl. Crack an egg into the bowl. add some olive oil and a pinch of salt using a wisk, beat it into the consistancy you want it doesn't last more than a day
Randomguy Posted October 14, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted October 14, 2013 I just saw this? How did it turn out? Random? Haven't done it yet. How long would it last with the recipe I would use? Does the lemon help preserve it?
Nate Posted October 14, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 14, 2013 How long would it last with the recipe I would use? Does the lemon help preserve it? a real eggs mayonaise does not last even 24 hours. that's why its made fresh every morning
