Page Turner Posted December 27, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 27, 2018 ...we're supposed to have sunny weather for the next week or so, so I took this apart today to overhaul it. Built an new clincher wheelset for it a couple of weeks ago, and I wasn't riding it because of the tubular tyres. It came apart with remarkably little drama, so over the next couple of days I'll clean up the frame, treat the inside of it with anti-corrosive, check the frame alignment, polish and wax it up, and put it back together with the new wheels and some fresh grease. The old grease was getting a little stiff, but remarkable, was still working. This is one of the nicer 60's bikes in my collection. Will be interesting to ride it with the new wheels and tyres.

It's too bad about the chrome lugs and stay socks on mine being painted yellow, but I assume it was to cover up some corrosion/pitting.
