Hey y'all! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I've had a really great day today…one of the best I can remember in a while.

Well? Curious minds in NC would like to know. Us up here got about 4.5 to 5"…Almost 4yr to the day from another large snow back in 2010. here's a couple pictures for y'all.

Congratulations. I paid my house off earlier this year. I also have my cars paid off. I do have a loan for the BMW 650GS, but will be paying it off in the next 6mo or so.

Thanks! I had a great time this afternoon. I would have liked to ride longer, but it was getting dark and I really didn't want to do any riding at night, just yet. Right now, it's still at Dallas' place - all locked up in the shop. I may bring it home next week or just leave it over there for a while - he has the room. Besides, I'm pretty sure he & the Marine don't want me out riding by myself just yet, so leaving it there means that Dallas needs to get out and ride too. I need some gloves (borrowed those from Dallas) and maybe even some kind of pants to go over my jeans, at least in the winter. The gloves I used today were just something basic, motocross ones Dallas had, and I'm sure glad this bike has heated grips. They came in handy!

Finally, some pictures for y'all... Rode 2hr with the guy who hooked me up with the bike. 2011 BMW 650GS, with only 2400mi on it. I got it for a steal. Felt right at home on the bike and we rode the roads that we used to ride on our bicycles. Very low traffic. Looking forward to the next ride, sometime next week. Pics...

Is there one? Came across this one tonight. Haven't heard or listened to it in over a year. Sentimental in more ways than one could know.

I don't remember if I mentioned this in my initial post or subsequent posts... My son has been Honorably Discharged from the Army, on 12/2/13. He is now on what's called Terminal Leave until 2/2/14 - which just means he is on vacation from the Army until that time. Well, he's actually officially out of the Army as of 12/2, but had saved up enough leave due to his deployment to Afghanistan this year to have enough leave to take him to 2/2/14. He is enrolled in Embry-Riddle in Daytona, FL in the Aeronautical Science program with the Military Flight School option. He wishes to go back into the military but into the Air Force or Marines. He has an apartment all set up in Daytona too. Yay!!! So, that's all. He will be going to visit his Dad on Friday till 12/25 and then back with me till 01/03.
