  1. BTW that’s what I love about their shop. It’s just wall to wall bikes, wheels, frames & parts. No fancy displays, no clothes or accessories, just bikes & parts. Walking around that place is tough with all of the stuff in there.
  2. Just some hot laps and burning in the brake pads.
  3. Build finished today and went and got fit and then took it home. Build: Ritchey Swiss Cross Med Groupo: Shimano Ultegra Hydro, 46/36 cranks 11-34 cassette. Ultegra RX rear der. Wheels: Shimano GRX (take off old bike) Maxxis ReFuse tires tubeless. Cockpit: Ritchey Venturemax WCS bar, Ritchey 4 axis stem & carbon Giant Contact post.
  4. I think that’s another part of the problem with GOAT discussions, what’s the criteria? Scoring, titles, MVP’s, impact to their team? How do you weight each? I fully understand you can make valid arguments for Brady & Lebron to be the GOAT. It’s engaging sports talk but I find it all wasted breath. Are they really the “Greatest Of All Time” or greatest of their era?
  5. On this I do agree and have said this to my son. I have watched basketball from the late 70’s on and have yet to see a player of Lebron’s overall physical ability & skill sets. But does that make him the GOAT? I still say you can’t compare him to players of other eras due to the rule changes. But I would like to see Lebron drive the lane against Bill Lambier & Dennis Rodman.
  6. Everyone’s entitled to one and that’s fine. I just don’t buy it. I have these discussions with my son & SIL with Lebron & MJ. I tell them what about Kareem, or Bill Russell? I tell them do your homework & then put together an argument Lebron is the GOAT. They really can’t, they just say Lebron is the GOAT. Different eras different standards unable to determine a GOAT. Everyone seems to get caught up in the now.
  7. Why do people, especially media have to always proclaim a GOAT? Can you really compare eras where Staubachs receivers were getting mauled up the middle, Staubach literally running for his life so Jack Lambert didn’t rip his head off as opposed to the can’t touch the receiver & don’t even think about injuring our beloved QB.... Different era different standards = not able to declare a GOAT...
  8. Been in a Led Zep mood lately & have been playing several of their full albums as opposed to their well known songs. Rockin’ out in my office to Houses of the Holy right now. Good jams!
  9. I gotta say before GPS and smartphones WOChrisL was a top notch navigator. We never got lost when traveling to new places.
  10. When my wife was out of work & messing with things in the house she moved the bedroom furniture around. It was the same for me. I’d wake up all disoriented... wait a minute why am I seeing the slider & not the wall??? She ultimately didn’t like it so the room is back the way it was.
  11. My wife is a good driver but what gets me is the: Why are you going this way? I KNOW WHERE I’M GOING!!!!! Followed by: Didn’t you just miss the exit? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER!?!?!?!?!
  12. Yeah kinda. I’m a left side sleeper and I wear glasses so like to have my table in front of me for quick access so right side of the bed (from the perspective of standing at the foot of bed looking at it. I suppose left side as your lying in it). My wife sleeps on her right side so left side works for her. Otherwise we’d be breathing on each other.

    Covid question

Might be worth getting tested... If there is a break out there OSHA will be up their ass investigating why protocols weren’t followed.

    Covid question

Yeah they can’t form privacy issues but everyone always seems to know... Has there been close contact with this person for more than 15 minutes? That’s the criteria we use. If the person who got it is on the 1st floor we don’t test people on the 2nd floor. Edit: but we do still notify them.

    Covid question

We do and I believe it’s an OSHA requirement, at least in CA. If an in office employee tests positive everyone in contact is personally notified, put into Covid protocol (testing & quarantine) and we send an email to everyone in the building. Having said that, sometimes someone is quarantined due to exposure but then everyone thinks they have it and the rumors fly.
  16. We follow the guidelines but I was also lucky. I have had two confirmed exposures at work but didn’t get it.
  17. I think our Dads war time experiences are very dissimilar which led to different viewpoints of their enemies. I think many Russians, Poles & Czechs may feel more aligned with how my dad felt than American soldiers who fought the Germans. My oldest brother fought in Vietnam and he didn’t feel like our dad did. My mom had every reason to hate the Japanese but she didn’t. She had a Japanese gardener for decades after her free gardener (me!) left.
  18. I remember when I got my 83 Ford Escort the guys with Mustangs, IROCS & trucks gave me shit for having a FWD car. Whatever it’s what I can afford and kept me from walking... There were two ways to get to our barracks, the short way you had to go up a steep hill. Or drive around to another gate which added about 3 miles. I noticed on icy days my little FWD car was able to make it up that hill when the Mustangs, IROCS & trucks had to go around! Suckas!
  19. So you wear a peace sign and write Born To Kill on your helmet? Who’s side are you on son?
  20. But we’re nearly starved to death in a Vietnamese prison camp?
  21. We still drink a couple of liters of diet Sprite or 7 UP a week but we mixed in bubbly water and cut the diet soda. I also drink Perrier water at work. (We used to buy it but the truckloads as it was a popular item at work and still have cases of it in storage...). I completely eliminated Coke Zero/Diet Coke as I would drink a bottle of it a day.
  22. I don’t know if that would have changed his mind though. I could see him buying a 1980’s K car rather than a Toyota... But yeah He would have been looking at a broken Zenith TV had he lived 20 years longer as non Japanese electronics were hard to come by...
