az_cyclist Posted February 3, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2014 28.6 @ 17.2 ave. Looking at the profile next time I use this for a recovery ride I should ride it the opposite direction. http://www.strava.com/activities/110774733
Road Runner Posted February 3, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2014 Rode 18.0 miles on the indoor bike. I need to go a lot longer, but it is just so damn boring (even with TV).

Square Wheels Posted February 3, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 3, 2014 Treadmill and trainer workouts are extremely boring. Says the guy who lives in Arizona. Here in New England, we have ice, snow, melting snow, and potholes large enough to eat bikes. I am relegated to the trainer most of the winter. I did go for a short outdoor ride Saturday. I felt so free.

I lived in Illinois and Indiana before that. in the winter in the midwest, conditions permitting, I would run 1-2 miles. If I got a nice day, and the roads were dry, I would get a ride in. I travel quite a bit for my job, and use the hotel treadmill for workouts then. all that said, I am thankful that I can ride year round, and that includes early rides in the summer when temps at noon are near, or above, 100. Jimbo Posted February 5, 2014 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2014 I ran the Surf City half marathon in 2 hours 45 min. This was my ninth year in a row. My PB was nine years ago. Now I run just to finish the race and have a beer. Then I go watch the Super Bowl on TV and have another beer.
