Square Wheels Posted December 1, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2018 So, it's the end of the mowing season. We leave our tractor in the garage. I run it until it runs out of gas, usually in the garage with the doors and windows open. We replaced our smoke detectors with Nest smoke detectors, these also have CO detectors. They went off. Cool thing is I can silence it from my phone. Cooler than that, since it detected CO, it shut my heat off. We also have Nest thermostats.
Further Posted December 1, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 1, 2018 I used to drain the power equipment but have gone to filling it with storage strength Stabil mix. I use Stabil all year, the Honda engine on the mower stated in the manual the fuel related problems were not covered by the warranty, and recommended fuel treatment, even came with a small container of treatment good for a gallon or so. Square Wheels Posted December 1, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted December 1, 2018 I bought some of that too, but don't always remember to ad it to the gas. So far, so good. The past few years I haven't even charged the battery, just fill it with gas and it starts.
