  1. Which is 15.66 proof, which is all Krusti really cares about.
  2. Do you consider yourself in the middle or upper-middle age range, given your retirement goals? I know we are not too far off in many ways. And I’ll reiterate, I’m only talking about after-tax contributions in the 401(k). Pre-tax wouldn’t move.
  3. At least I’m not the only one that is confused about this. For years my company didn’t offer me a Roth option, this is a new offering and I just don’t know if I should jump on it or not.
  4. Thanks. I anticipate that my post-retirement income will be less than my current, FWIW, even when removing tax deductions like children.
  5. Is there any benefit of moving “after tax” contributions currently sitting in my 401 account to a Roth IRA, or is it better to sit in the 401 account (I have no intentions of moving any of my pre-tax monies for tax reasons, of course)? I can’t figure out the difference or benefits of one over the other on after tax money based on what I’ve been reading. I am able to leave the IRA untouched for 5 years at this point in time (I assume the 5 year minimum is from the time you open the account, and not from the last deposit date?).
  6. I think one problem was the decision to have nightly live hour-long updates early on in the American phase of the pandemic. The evidence-based content was used up within the first 15 minutes or, the rest was conjecture at best, misinformation at worst. Less frequent updates would have improved the quality of the information. IMO.
  7. Isn’t the entire grounding of the Max 8 due to a software error that caused the plan to lose altitude that the pilots couldn’t over-ride (or at least not in time)? You’d want to remove that small safety feature on your flights?
  8. Sure… do they have a riff about the word “obfuscate”?
  9. We’re re-watching the Sopranos before hitting the newly released movie. We watched Midnight Mass, it was good in a Stephan King sorta way. Also the Great British Bake-off season 9 is trickling back.
  10. It’s worse than just information overload, it’s that certain media platforms reaffirm people’s already held opinions and flood them with similar information and connections with like-minded people. Yes, Web-MD made everyone an instant-fucking-expert, but put those people in an echo chamber and you end up with demands for malaria and parasite treatments for a viral infection. Or, in other countries, drinking camel urine. Johnson & Johnson vaccines should be hugely in demand for people who claim they don’t trust the technology of the mRNA vaccines. Especially now that with a booster the protection matches that of the 2-dose mRNA forms. But it won’t be, at least in this country.
  11. I think La Croix may have more alcohol than Zima, to be honest.
  12. They wouldn’t even need to leave the parking lot. Maybe that’s what’s causing the back-long. Long-term parking.
  13. I had the same issue on Friday with people trying to get into a Wendy’s parking lot of all things. Backed up a half-dozen cars on the road. Fortunately I was in the right lane and could bypass that cluster.
  14. This. I find it difficult empathize with airline employees who are taking their work grievance issues out in a manner that would directly harm the traveling public. No wonder the pilots’ union is denying it.
  15. He had a QB rating of 120.9 this week. It helps that they finally found a running game.
  16. Interception in the end zone with second remaining, Steelers won by 8.
  17. Back from the lake with the second half to go. Steelers up 17 to 6.
